Love Hula Hands. I usually get some poke to start and a combo meal for variety. You won't go wrong with chicken katsu or kalua pig. Writing about it is making me hungry.

Food & service are fantastic! A tasty bit of Hawaii right here in Anchorage! The venue is divey. The staff are the sweetest people around.

The food here was really good (the mac salad is really good). I highly recommend the short ribs.

The food tastes great. The pork was excellent,. Very juicy and no bbq sauce needed. Poke, awesome. Great little stop. Large large portion. Two of us split the meal and had to box it up.

Always a great restaurant, you can't go wrong with! Huge fans of their marinated chicken and kabli ribs. Upside down pineapple cake it's always a winner with me!

Can't go wrong with this place! Extensive delicious menu with generous portions! Friendly people and service with a laid back chill vibe. My goto is the Shyou poke appetizer. Fresh chunks of ahi tuna swimming in a savory sauce with ginger bits and sweet Hawaiian onions. The best in town! For my meal, I love the mini combo plate with pulehu chicken. Love love!!!

Was really impressed with the food...it was the best beef teriyaki that I've ever had. Portion sizes were large as well. Service was very friendly and prompt. Strong recommend.

Hawaiian plate lunch with lovely service in Anchorage, Alaska? Yes, please! After much debate, we tried the Tongan Special Plate (Kalua pig, turkey tail, beef steamed in spinach, and 2-scoops of white rice) and the saimin. The proprietor sensed our excitement for trying new dishes and she brought us a sample of teriyaki chicken and beef, too. Everything was delicious (especially that pig) and after sharing our visit on social, we heard from friends who grew up in Anchorage that Hula Hands is a fam-favorite! If ever back in Anchorage, we'll be back; in the meantime, highly recommend you visit!

I've tried several different Hawaiian BBQs in the past and I have to give Hula Hands food a slightly higher "star" level than the other places I've been The restaurant is pretty small. About 10 tables sitting up to 40 guests. So it can get pretty loud or busy. Their hours are somewhat limited too. Closes by 7 everyday. When you walk in, the Hawaiian vibe Hoonānea ("ho'oh-nă'-nē'-ah") - to relax is in the atmosphere. Don't expect fast service when busy. Just chill and enjoy the people and order a can of the variety of Hawaiian Sun drinks and patiently wait for your server. Now the food: We had the following 1. Nui Super - 4.5 Stars - which consist an order of Pulehu Chicken and Kahli Ribs - [thin slices of short ribs] - ( both marinated in Teriyaki sauce) and were cooked over a grill. Meat was juicy and tender. It comes with 2 scoops of Rice and 1 Scoop of Homemade Macaroni which was flavorful and light in Mayo. Not too much and not too little. 2. One order of Kahlu Pig. 3.5 stars - shredded roasted pig w a single scoop of Rice and Macaroni. It was a little too salty of our liking. 3. Nui Super - 4 stars- Pulehu Chicken and sliced beef. Same items as option 1 4. Side order of Lau Lau. - 3.5 Stars - Salted pork wrapped in Lau Lau Leaves. I missed the white fish that normally with the salted pork. Maybe I ordered the wrong Lau Lau. Service was great. Only one person to serve the 10 tables including takeouts so ordering and getting the food can be a little bit longer. However, the server was fantastic, friendly and professional. We talked as we waited our food and we he wasn't helping other customers. When he served us our food, he asked he if he could pray w us - blessing our food and those who helped making the meal. - 5 stars We were the last one to leave and the employees were relaxed, professional and wanted to talk. So be good to your server and the people around you and you will have a wonderful meal! Enjoy the pics

My husband and I love Hawaiian food so we tried Hila Hands while on vacation and it did not disappoint. The service was quick and friendly. We ate here later in the day so the dining area was closed, but we were wanting to get it to go anyway so it wasn't a big deal. We ordered two of the Hawaiian Sodas, Fruit punch and lilikoi passion which were both delicious. We ordered the mega combo with the beef stew, kalua pork and chicken katsu. They made a mistake and gave us the beef teriyaki instead of the chicken so they just let us keep it and gave us an order of the chicken, so that was awesome! The white rice is really yummy with a little soy sauce and spicy mayo mixed in. The Macaroni salad is always one of my favorite parts of the meal. The chicken katsu and kalua pork were both hot, juicy and flavorful. The beef stew had a good flavor, but only had one piece of beef in it so that was a little bit of a let down. We also split a pineapple upside down cake which was moist and delicious. Rating from a F to an A+++ I give it an A++. We would definitely eat here again.
